Aberdeen F.C. has recently had to work within tight budgets which will probably not change for the foreseeable future since many Scottish clubs struggle in the current environment.

The Transfer Fund is a way to boost that budget. It is a real chance for the Aberdeen supporters to make a direct impact on the team.

Duncan Fraser, Executive Director Head of Operations of AFC says "The club is fully behind initiatives like this and it is fantastic that it has got off to such a good start. We are delighted to work extremely closely with fans groups like this that have the same vision as the club, namely a successful Aberdeen Football Club and we wish FundaDon every success"

The club has assured FundaDon that all monies raised will go towards Jimmy Calderwood's football budget.

Although it seems that a small contribution will not go far, it is very easy for a number of small donations to go a long way. For example, if everyone at an average home gate were to contribute £10 each, that could potentially give the manager approximately £100,000 to add to the January budget. It could make the difference in attracting players to the club or keeping our top players and not losing out to other clubs.

You can donate as little or as much as you can afford. Payments can be made safely and securely online using your credit card or using an optional Paypal account.

We know that a lot of Dons fans spend a lot of money following the club and buying merchandise but there are also many Dons fans who live abroad and cannot attend many games or visit the club shop. FundADon gives these fans the chance to contribute as well as the many local businesses who would like to help the team as well.

The fund is still going strong and so far we have raised £7559 from fans donations and corporate sponsors.
